I have been pondering (panicking about) what on earth to do with the kids for the whole 9 weeks of the summer holiday this year. There is no doubt that we live in a great place for a summer holiday and don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, but last year I relied so heavily on going to the beach that by week 6 both Jacob and Rose were bored of it. So for 2013 I am setting up 'Camp Kirstin' or 'The Pinetree Drive Centre for Science and Creativity'.
Each week the children and I will choose a theme and I will try to come up with some related experiments and crafts to try out. This will provide me with a lot of extra work so we may not get past 'Week One - Water', but I hope we'll do better than that. It should also provide me with something to blog about that isn't endless pictures of Grand Bend beach and we might even have some fun.
